Prosper were appointed to breathe new life into this underwhelming and under utilised public space.
Our client was seeking enhancement ideas to encourage dwell, to better support the adjacent retail units and generate additional rental income.
We explored several layout plans that would encourage dwell without impeeding the through-fare nature of the space.
The final solution introduces landscaping, public seating, kitchen kiosks, weather protection and public WCs into one cohesive space. New revenue streams have been created via the introduction of leasable kitchen kiosks and a temporary vendor one at the front of the space.
A significantly improved public space for the local community that encourages people to pause and engage whilst also generate new revenue streams for the landlord.
Prosper is assisting the client to obtain planning approval and we look forward to developing the detailed design stage in Q2.
